Came across When Rivers Meet by accident and what a lucky happening that was. Easily purchased the digital version and now happily rocking away wherever and whenever I like.

Where to start? Upon listening one is transported back in time to a muddy backwater bayou in Louisiana, or a roadhouse in Alabama or maybe even a honky in Texas. The music is sublime - old yet new, modern and fresh drawing you into a sound that you can’t resist listening to over and over and over again. Grace’s vocals are more dynamic and powerful than the Dodge Challenger that Aaron covets. Aaron provides the subtle yet substantial harmonizing that brings their songs into focus. It’s an amazing combination - absolute magic. It is no wonder why God brought these two souls together. Throw in Aaron’s guitar and drum work with Grace’s violin and mandolin(just to remind you that they’re not Americans)and you have the best new musical act anywhere! Love these two!

I discovered Grace & Aaron’s music a few months ago via their Facebook postings and was thoroughly impressed by both their music and their tenacity and determination to progress through the various Covid lockdowns with on-line streaming events and marketing. I usually manage 70 – 80 gigs a year, usually at the Musician in Leicester, (sadly rather curtailed during the pandemic), and When Rivers Meet are one of the stand-out bands I’ve heard in recent years. I greatly enjoyed their first CD We Fly Free so had to also buy their EP collection. I was thrilled when they deservedly won 4 awards at the 2021 UK Blues Awards. I look forward to hopefully seeing them appear at the Musician in the not too distant future. Tim 29 May 21.

I first heard When Rivers Meet in May '19 when 'Like What you See' arrived in my mailbox and was immediately scheduled for inclusion in my radio show, 'Blues On The Radio'. Subsequent single releases led up to the release of 'The Uprising' EP which in turn led to me trying to book Grace & Aaron to appear at The Tuesday Night Music Club. You'll gather from the preceding that I was impressed. So I was keen to hear their next EP and also nervous that maybe it wouldn't live up to my expectations... I'm delighted to say that 'Innocence Of Youth' is a very worthy addition to this fabulous duo's recorded legacy. 'Legacy' infers an impact on the musical scene that we will look back on in years to come and that's exactly why I used the word. There's great things ahead - roll on that first album!

The long awaited 2nd EP-CD from Essex based husband/wife blues/rock duo. Five self-penned originals this time and every one a cracker. Sadly, thE C-19 Lock-Down restrictions have seen them confined to home for the past 3 months, meaning no live work and delayed recording of their first 12-track album . Thankfully they've been doing regular weekly On-Line shows of up to an hour for their Facebook and Instagram followers. This pair are a "must see" live and hopefully it'll be business as usual again soon. Until then, this "The Innocence of Youth" EP - and their earlier "Uprising" - will be on REPEAT SHUFFLE on my player. * * UPDATE * * LP due out November '20. Hopefully .

Another superb piece of work from When Rivers Meet; that brings to mind 'All About Eve' singing Delta Blues, well my mind at least. Grace's haunting, yet powerful, vocals soar over the drawling guitar from Arron to produce a stunning balance of raw power and soul and emotion.
Definitely ones to watch; can't wait for the album.
